ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for our continuing accreditation for the Associate Degree Nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ (ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ) welcomed 16,518 students on Monday, August 14, for the first day of the 2023-24 academic year. The student count represented a 13 percent increase over the opening day of fall last year.  

The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ (ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ) Foundation was awarded $2.5 million after Riverside County Third District Supervisor Chuck Washington forwarded a proposal to support the college district's career and technical education programs.

ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ is pleased to announce that Rebecca Teague has been selected to serve as the District’s new Vice President of Student Services. Ms. Teague, who has been serving as interim Vice President of Student Services at ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ for two years, begins in the permanent position Monday, July 24.

Joyce Johnson, vice president of Career Education, Counseling, Nursing, and Allied Health ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ (ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ), was appointed to serve on the board of directors of the National Council on Workforce Education (NCWE). This appointment is a testament to Johnson's experience and expertise of career education and workforce development programs.

There's more to Leah Di Bernardo's culinary arts class at ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ (ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ) than lectures, reading and recipes. Di Bernardo serves up lessons about what farm-to-table means for people and the planet.

The Mt. San Jacinto Community College District Board of Trustees unanimously adopted a Tentative 2023-2024 Budget during its meeting on Thursday, June 8.

ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ (ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ) hosted several cultural celebrations designed to honor and recognize the accomplishments of ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ's diverse student population. The events, organized by programs, clubs and affinity groups, were held during the weeks leading up to the official college graduation ceremony. These events provided an opportunity to foster inclusivity, celebrate diversity, and create a sense of belonging within the college community.

ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ (ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ) is pleased to announce that a member of the college's faculty will be releasing her first book. Lena Nelson, English as a Second Language instructor in ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ's Adult Education department authored America's Youngest Ambassador: The Cold War Story of Samantha Smith's Lasting Message of Peace a comprehensive story of the late Samantha Smith, a fifth grader in Manchester, Maine.
